PEN & INK with watercolours - Nature - Some drawing experience recommended Learn the various tools and techniques used for creating line, shade, pattern, and texture. This workshop is intended to create “sketched nature” style of drawings and explore various subject matter encountered in nature. Explore the various tools & materials available for inking. Learn to create line, value, texture, & patterns that make a successful pen and ink drawing. Using learned techniques apply to nature subject matter such as plants, trees, animals and birds.
With drawings inked learn to effectively apply simple watercolour washes.
Cam will bring reference material to work from.
1 sketchbook - Approx 7 x 9 should be able to handle wet and dry media (mixed media)
-Pencil 2b recommended, Eraser
-permanent ink (India), pen holder, nib fine, medium pointed tips
-Felt pens black permanent 0.7 & 1.5, brush pen (Pigma MB or similiar)
-No 8 or 10 round pointed watercolour brush
-Water container, old dishtowel
-Small watercolour pallete + red, blue, yellow, green watercolour tubes
OR watercolour set with cakes
-Bring your own lunch
