Friday May 29, 2020 4pm–6pm (Drop-off art)
Saturday May 30, 2020 10am–5pm
Sunday May 31, 2020 10am-3pm
Award Ceremony and Prize Presentation Sunday May 31, 2020 3pm
Family, friends and the public are welcome. Students must be present to receive awards.

Winners of the student competition have been invited to show their work at Zyp Gallery in Calmar, Alberta. Tentative dates are June 20 to July 20th
Who can enter?
-Grade 10, 11 and 12 students attending an accredited school/program in the Leduc area
-There is no artist-entry fee for this show.
How and when do I enter?
Art is entered online using our website .The link is at end of this information.
Students can enter starting January 22, 2020 up to and including May 18, 2020.
Students need to be sponsored by their art teacher.
Substitutions of art or name changes will not be permitted after May 26, 2019.
What can I enter?
piece of 2 D or 3D art. You choose the medium.
All art must be original - no reproductions. Photography and computer altered original photography allowed.
Art can be created in class but the instructor must not have physically assisted in the creation.
Art must be dry and have a hanging device that will work with a pegboard hook.
Art must have been created in the last 2 years.
Art can be for sale.
Each student may enter up to 3 pieces of art in total. (If we have room for more pieces, we will contact your teacher).
All 2D art maximum outside dimensions framed or unframed – 26”x38” or 1000 sq. inches.
3D art –same size restrictions.
Maximum 100 pieces of art will be registered
Each school will be required to provide volunteers to help set up and take down the show Saturday and Sunday mornings and evenings. Please fill out .
When do I deliver my art?
Friday May 29, 2020 between 4pm-6pm. At the Leduc Recreation Centre close to the curling rink lobby.
Labeling the art?
Label 2-D art on the BACK and 3-D art underneath. You can download one from the tab called Art Label from the Art Shows menu.
Photography must also put labels on the BACK
Upload quality images of your art
Please upload good quality images of your art. Make sure there aren't shadows, reflections on the paintings & drawings. We will use these for our website, calendars.
Do I need to frame my art?
Though it is not mandatory, framed work and canvases must have suitable wire and screws for hanging.(Wire must be heavy enough to support the art.) Foam core and board paintings will be supported using pegboard hooks. Drawings must be mounted onto poster board or foam core 1" bigger on all sides. This is so the drawing can be hung for display without damaging the work.
When do I pick up my art?
Sunday May 31, 2020 3:00pm after the awards ceremony.
Sold art will be picked up by the buyers.
Who juries the shows?
The jurors are professional local artists.
Student art is adjudicated by grade and subject/medium.
There are two consent forms required to be filled in. Please fill out both forms, upload them with your submissions or send as an attachment to email@example.com Your artwork could be chosen for the Exhibition at Zyp Gallery or the Leduc Art Club yearly calendar.

The Leduc Art Club is not responsible for any damage to art left at the show. We will be carefully handling and displaying the art but it is left at students’ risk.
How does the Club protect my personal-contact information?
Leduc Art Club Collection and Use of Personal Information
This information is collected for the purpose of organizing the Leduc Art Club Student Competition Show and Sale. When the show is over and all prize and art sales’ cheques are issued, the personal-contact information on show documents used by the Leduc Art Club Show and Sale Committee computers will be shredded/deleted. Photos and the names of the winners may be posted (but not limited to) our webpage, Facebook page, posters and appear in newspapers.
