The 12th Annual Aspiring Young Artists Competition

The Leduc Art Club is Proud to Present
The 12th Annual Aspiring Young Artists Competition

The Aspiring Young Artist Competition has grown by leaps and bounds over the last 12 years it give an incredible opportunity for our youth to shine. For the month of June we showcase their work at the Leduc Arts Foundry. June 3 and 4 the competition takes place with awards on the 4th of June. This event is open to the public for viewing and takes place during one of Leduc’s most loved events, The Black Gold Rodeo. This allows for an exceptional amount of exposure for our up and coming artists! During those two days we have two local professional artists to adjudicate and pick the winning pieces. We have had the opportunity to speak with students who have taken part in the Aspiring Young Artist Competition from years back to thank us for this competition and how that opportunity and experience has been of much benefit to them as they have furthered their careers within the art world.

The Leduc Art Club is honored to be hosting our 11th Annual Aspiring Young Artists Competition for youth within the City of Leduc and Area. It has been an amazing experience over the last 12 years, we’ve been able to work in collaboration with The City of Leduc to give back to the community, and The Leduc Art Club has also been able to foster an incredible relationship while working in collaboration with all the schools in Leduc, and surrounding areas. We are very thankful for the businesses within the City of Leduc, The Leduc Nisku-Rotary Club and Leduc Performing Arts and Cultural Foundation who provide us with the much needed funding and donations to make this phenomenal yearly event such a success! The Grade 5 participant donations are donated by The Leduc Recreation Centre, The Black Gold Rodeo Association, and Canadian Pizza Unlimited.
