Bruce Whaley was already drawing the farm animals, trucks and tractors, from his rural Ontario environment, at 6 years of age.

“Why do I paint, it is for the pure, painful, pleasure of it. Painting brings a challenge of seeing, really seeing and observation. I paint because I love it and just cannot stop.”

Meet Teresa Dobko, the talented artist behind the captivating paintings that bring joy to those who observe them. Hailing from British Columbia's Kootenays and settling in rural Alberta near Edmonton, Teresa's love for art has been a lifelong passion.

Haley Anderson is a young adult artist with developmental disabilities. She resides at Wizard Lake in the county of Leduc. She attended an UP (Unique Perspective) class at the Leduc Art club a few years ago and discovered she really enjoyed it and has learned to appreciate the gifts along the way.

Scarlett Dixon is a self-taught artist who resides in Leduc. She has had a love for creating art since she was a young child. Scarlett grew up on a farm and during cold or rainy days would fill sketchbooks with drawings of animals, comics, and portraits.

A native Albertan and home-grown artist, Katherine’s love for the arts began with “Pierre Trudeau with Rose” while still a budding teen.

Shirley McIntosh has lived in Leduc all her life and always admired art and thought how wonderful it would be to be able to make such beautiful paintings. It wasn’t until later in life, when a good friend suggested she take up painting, she decided to give it a try.
