Participating in the Black Gold Rodeo Art Competition and Exhibition, to me, is a great way to showcase a wide range of artists within the community. It provides a platform for young artists who want their work to be seen and recognized. Opportunities like this are essential for emerging artists, supporting their growth and helping them break into the art industry. At this point in my artistic journey, I am in a stage of growth. I am developing my style and refining the messages in my work through color and portraiture. As I continue to share my art publicly after graduation and my AP portfolio, I am also exploring other forms of artistic expression and continuing my studies in fine arts at the post-secondary level. This opportunity will help me reach a new audience through my art and connect with other creatives in the industry. One of the most important aspects of the art world is connection and networking, and I hope this experience will allow me to build relationships with other emerging artists.
