Alainna Clarke

Participating in the Black Gold Rodeo Art Competition means so much to me becuase it has given me the opportunity to express my passion for art and creating, and at the same time my love for western culture and the rodeo. I grew up often going out to my aunt's farm, and my cousins participated in the rodeo, so I got to experience it at a young age. Becuase of this, creating this piece has brought up so many joyous memories from when I was young, and the world felt like one big adventure.
I have loved creating for as long as I can remember, and pretty much as soon as I was old enough to hold a pencil, I have been painting, drawing and writing my way through life. I always feel most like myself when I have a paintbrush or a pencil in my hand. Like when I am creating, I am as Alainna as I can possibly be. I am currently pursuing art part-time and have been selling paintings and teaching art classes for a few years now. However, I would love to pursue art full-time in the near future, as it is where my heart is.
