Participating in this competition is a great opportunity for me as a young artist. Despite Working full-time, i put away enough spare hours to make this painting. My Artistic journey is only just beginning, winning a competition would be great for my portfolio, participating is a great experience too! As a half Cree artist, i wanted to depict the beauty of alberta and the people who live here. Its important to treat eachother and the land kindly, and with respect. Mistatim means Horse in Cree
