Capturing the essence of the subject matter in landscapes or an accurate likeness in portraiture is Bruce's primary goal.

His landscape paintings tend to be inspired by lighting, atmosphere and the natural beauty of the land.

Scenes are created from everyday sights and events, personal experiences and travels and are painted in an interpretive realist style, using loose brushwork and simplified details.

This painting style allows everyone to "see" the art in their own way.

Retiring from the regular work force in 2015, Bruce is now creating art full-time, always trying to do a little better with each new work.
