Cindy L. Danyluk-Boisvert

Multidisciplinary Artist, Nature Photographer, Writer & Poet

Cindy L. Danyluk-Boisvert is a largely self-taught artist based in Leduc, Alberta.

Featured as the Leduc Art Club's Artist of the Month for October 2026, she is sharing her original acrylic paintings on canvas in her first exhibition at the Leduc Arts Foundry.

Her creative practice spans cow-skull painting, woodcarving, sandstone sculpture, jewelry making, textile arts, nature photography, graphic art, and digital illustration. While much of her artistic learning has come through personal exploration, she has also attended silversmithing classes. Her poetry has appeared in three Poetry Institute of Canada anthologies: Island Sunsets (1994), Reflections by Moonlight

(1995), and Images in Time (1997).

Of Ukrainian and Scottish ancestry, Cindy grew up in Alberta and later lived on farms, where she raised Quarter Horses and competed in local rodeos. Her love of colour, creative freedom, family, faith, and nature informs her work.

Her dedication to Telford Lake extends beyond art. Cindy founded the Leduc AB Biodiversity Project on Naturalist, which, as of September 2026, includes 21,915 observations documenting 1,443 species. The project is also listed in the CitSci Alberta Catalogue. In 2025, she received the City of Leduc's Citizen of Distinction Award for Environmental Achievement. 

 

Cindy is a member of the Leduc Art Club, Leduc Arts Foundry, and Leduc Wildlife Conservation Society. She lives in Leduc with her husband, André, and their faithful dog, Iris.
